Despite having played 18 league games this season, United has only managed to score 18 goals. Rasmus Hojlund, the £72 million summer signing from Atalanta, who scored five times in the Champions League, is yet to register a goal or assist in 15 Premier League appearances.

Hojlund had a forgettable outing in their 2-0 defeat at West Ham, leading to his substitution in the 57th minute. His replacement, Marcus Rashford, and other attacking players like Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Bruno Fernandes, were unable to find the net.

Following the match, Ten Hag expressed confidence in the goal-scoring abilities of Rashford, Hojlund, Antony, Garnacho, Bruno, and even Scott McTominay, emphasizing that the squad possesses the necessary scoring capabilities, including from set-plays. Despite the current challenges, he urged the team to stick together and maintain belief in their ability to turn things around.
