Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has criticized three of his players following their 2-1 loss to Brighton on Saturday.
After a 1-0 win in their Premier League opener, United traveled to the Amex Stadium looking to continue their good form. However, a first-half goal from former United striker Danny Welbeck gave Brighton the lead. Although Amad Diallo equalized, Brighton secured a late winner through Joao Pedro.
United also had a goal from Alejandro Garnacho disallowed after Joshua Zirkzee was deemed offside.

For Brighton’s winning goal, Antony’s weak attempt at a tackle allowed Simon Adingra to create space, while Diogo Dalot, Kobbie Mainoo, and Noussair Mazraoui did not close down the player as the ball was crossed into the area.
“We didn’t stop the cross,” Ten Hag stated. “There were three players. [Adingra is a] right-footed player, send him down the line, send him wide instead of letting him come in and allow the cross. We have to address this.”
