Since taking over as Thomas Tuchel’s replacement at Stamford Bridge, English tactician Graham Potter, a former manager of Brighton and Hove Albion, has led the English Premier League’s Chelsea FC to an outstanding start.

Following his most recent Champions League victory against Red Bull Salzburg, which ended two goals to one, and made him the first Chelsea manager to go undefeated in his first four games in the competition since Roberto Di Matteo in 2012, when the Blues went on to win the title, Chelsea are still unbeaten across all competitions. They have gone nine games without a defeat with a record of six wins and three draws.

Kepa Arrizabalaga of Spain, who has been the preferred number one choice for goalkeeper over injured Senegalese international Edouard Mendy, who has not been able to force his way back into the team despite returning from injury, was in between the stick at the centre of the goal post when Chelsea’s scorching run of form was completed.

Given his vast experience, Kepa Arrizabalaga has been using it to make decisive and iconic saves to deny their opponents some clear-cut chances that could have been converted into goals across all competitions. All of this has been at the highest level and has also garnered him great praise from sports fans.

His continuous and excellent performance thus far in their native top-flight league also prompted the English Football League, or EPL, to respond with a post on their verified Twitter account.

With a clap emoji, EPL noted that Kepa Arrizabalaga has been a revelation for the Blues under Graham Potter and that he presently has the highest percentage of save success at 91.3%.

This put him far ahead of the other shot stoppers who were listed with him, and the Premier League has now announced the top five in that category. He will be trying to maintain this pace today as they pursue the competition.
