Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has admitted he is unsure whether Ben Chilwell has a long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
Chilwell, who has featured just once for the Blues this season in the League Cup, is under contract with the club until 2027. However, his lack of game time has raised questions about his role in the squad.
When asked about Chilwell’s situation during his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday, Maresca said:
“No idea, to be honest. It’s the January transfer window, and there are players who are probably going to leave, but I’m not sure at the moment.”
