Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca attributed his team’s 1-1 Premier League draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday to a lack of clinical finishing.

Speaking after the match at Selhurst Park, Maresca acknowledged that while Chelsea created enough opportunities to secure a victory, they failed to capitalize.

Cole Palmer’s early goal had put the Blues ahead, but a late equalizer from Jean-Philippe Mateta denied them the win.

“We did enough to win the game today,” Maresca said in his post-match interview. “Between the first and second halves, we created enough chances to secure the victory, but we need to be more clinical. Unfortunately, we conceded late, but overall, I believe we performed well enough to deserve the win.”
