Although Haaland was unable to add to his impressive tally of 36 goals in the final league match, as he remained on the bench during Manchester City’s 1-0 defeat against Brentford, it did not hinder his achievement.

Another notable accolade went to his teammate Kevin De Bruyne, who was not included in the squad for the Brentford match. De Bruyne claimed the Playmaker award for providing the most assists throughout the season, amassing a total of 16.

At just 22 years old and in his debut campaign with Manchester City after joining from Borussia Dortmund the previous summer, Haaland has established an extraordinary milestone. He shattered Alan Shearer’s long-standing record of 35 goals, becoming the highest-scoring player in a single Premier League season.

Haaland finished the campaign with a remarkable six-goal lead over his closest competitor, Harry Kane. Despite playing for a struggling Tottenham side, Kane had a successful individual season and ended with a total of 30 goals, including a brace against Leeds.
