Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has acknowledged his dissatisfaction with his performance at the club this season. Onana, who arrived from Inter Milan in a £43 million deal last summer to replace David De Gea, has fallen short of expectations after being named the best goalkeeper in the previous season’s Champions League.
Despite his past success, the Cameroonian goalkeeper has struggled, making notable errors in both Premier League and Champions League matches. Speaking to Sky Sports, Onana expressed his discontent, saying, “If I have to evaluate my season so far with Manchester United, I am not happy because I know I can perform much better. I’ve done it before, and I believe I will surpass the current challenges.”
Acknowledging the team’s tough period, Onana added, “We are not going through a good moment. I hope things will change as soon as possible. But listen, are you suggesting that in six months, the best goalkeeper in the Champions League last season can become the worst in the world? Nah. Everything is temporary. I know it will be alright. If not today, it will be tomorrow; if not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow.”
