Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has affirmed that manager Erik ten Hag retains the support of the dressing room.
Maguire made his comments after the team squandered a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 with FC Porto in the Europa League on Thursday night. Speculation about Ten Hag’s future had arisen ahead of the match following a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham last Sunday.
With United facing another potential loss in Portugal, Maguire rose to head in the equalizer during added time. The Red Devils now sit with just two points from their first two Europa fixtures as they prepare to face Aston Villa in three days.

“To be honest, Iโve played for this club for six years, so I know how it works,” Maguire told TNT Sports. “When you go through a tough patch, both players and the manager come under pressure.
“Heโs experienced enough and has been in the game long enough to know how to handle it. Heโs been at this club long enough to have learned how to deal with these situations. Itโs part of playing for or managing this club, and itโs part of the privilege that comes with it.”
