When the team was struggling under sanctions last season, Manchester United sought to lure Tuchel away, but he opted to stay at Chelsea.
Manchester, who have already selected Erik ten Hag for the long term, will allegedly be cursing themselves for missing out on the German, according to Joe Cole.
“I feel for Thomas Tuchel, it’s terrible because he’s a top manager,” Joe Cole continued.
“I’ll tell you who will be slightly cursing themselves: Man United. They probably wish this had occurred three or four months earlier.
