Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, credited Stefan Ortega’s crucial save against Son Heung-Min as the decisive moment preventing Arsenal from clinching the Premier League title.
Ortega, who replaced Ederson in the second half, made an outstanding stop to deny Son when the scoreline stood at 1-0. Earlier, Erling Haaland had given City the lead following excellent play from Kevin De Bruyne. Haaland later secured the victory for Guardiola’s side with a second goal from the penalty spot.
Guardiola highlighted Ortega’s contribution, stating, “Stefan Ortega has saved us. Otherwise, Arsenal are Premier League champions. He has consistently delivered since his arrival. We’ve witnessed the caliber of goalkeeper he is, making incredible saves time and again.”
