Kepa Arrizabalaga, the goalkeeper for Chelsea, was only able to deflect Casemiro’s excellent header onto the post.

Before Kepa could pull the ball back into play, the ball just missed crossing the goal line, and referee Stuart Attwell signaled for the goal to stand.

Both teams would receive a share of the spoils as the game came to a draw.

At the conclusion of the game, as the camera moved across the Stamford Bridge field, Chelsea player Kovacic could be seen running towards the tunnel after removing his shirt and shorts.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, a former Chelsea striker, cracked a joke on commentary after witnessing the strange sight of the Croatian international sprinting across the field while almost completely undressed: “He looks fit!”

Social media users laughed at Kovacic’s unexpected entrance as well.

“Was it only me who watched Kovacic race off the pitch in only his underwear?” a fan tweeted.

Another jokingly said, “Kovacic going to a strip club.”

A third person wrote “What’s Kovacic doing?” with an emoji of laughing and sobbing.

Due to the tie, Chelsea has moved up one spot and one point to fourth position in the Premier League, ahead of Manchester United.

On Tuesday night, the Blues will travel to Salzburg to take on RB.

On Thursday, United will play host to Sheriff Tiraspol of Moldova in the Europa League.
