Jamie Redknapp, former Liverpool midfielder, has criticized Manchester United for allowing Brentford to appear as formidable as Real Madrid.
Redknapp’s comments came after United’s 1-1 draw at the GTech Community Stadium on Saturday.
Despite Mason Mount putting United ahead in the 96th minute, the hosts equalized through Kristoffer Ajer just three minutes later.

“They surrendered possession too easily, lacked energy both with and without the ball. They made Brentford look like Real Madrid!
“Manchester United’s performance was severely lacking. There was a noticeable reluctance to engage in individual battles, allowing Brentford too much freedom.
“It seemed too effortless for Brentford. At times, it felt like United were playing with only nine men on the pitch,” Redknapp stated on Sky Sports.
