Sutton advises Osimhen to opt for Arsenal, citing their recent performance superiority over Chelsea and their urgent need for a quality No. 9.

“He [Osimhen] is a superior player compared to what Chelsea and Arsenal currently have. Arsenal, in recent times, have been slightly better than Chelsea. It’s uncertain how this situation will unfold, but Arsenal is in dire need of a number nine,” remarked Sutton on BBC’s Monday Night Club.

“With Nicolas Jackson, Osimhen would be a significant upgrade. Nkunku is struggling with fitness, and one sympathizes with Pochettino in that regard. Chelsea is intriguing because there’s a possibility that suddenly, next season, they hit the ground running and contend, given their talented squad. However, if he’s truly ambitious at this moment, choosing Arsenal over Chelsea would be the wiser move,” Sutton added.

Osimhen is currently representing the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the ongoing 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
