With goals from Kai Havertz and Mason Mount, Potter’s team earned a much-needed victory and moved even with Brighton & Hove Albion in ninth place upon their return from the World Cup break.

James, who had previously missed England’s World Cup campaign due to a similar issue, suffered another knee injury, ruining the evening.

The Chelsea manager said that it was too soon to determine the severity of the injury, but he conceded that it was alarming given the similarity of the problem.

We must wait and observe how the ensuing 24 to 48 hours play out. He sensed something after a type of chopping motion. We’ll cross our fingers for you. He is dissatisfied. We really want to pray that it isn’t as bad,” Potter told the press.

“Reece is a top-tier athlete. Although you can tell from the outside, you won’t truly appreciate how good he is unless you work with him.

He is a fantastic player. Any team would miss him since he would fit onto any squad in the world.

Recall that Kai Havertz, a star for the German national team, was outstanding for Chelsea in the match and he was able to play wonderfully as he scored an incredible goal to lead Chelsea to a well-deserved victory over their opponent.

Coach Graham Potter gave the former Bayer 04 Leverkusen football club star a starting position in his teamโ€™s assault, and he was able to dazzle in the thrilling match.

Raheem Sterling assisted Kai Havertz to score Chelseaโ€™s opening goal in the 16th minute, and Mason Mount added a second goal in the 24th minute to make the score 2-0 at the end of the first half.

The game finished with a score of 2-0 despite both teamsโ€™ best efforts to score more goals in the second half.
