Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta declined to assign any blame to goalkeeper David Raya despite his two errors that resulted in goals during their 4-3 victory over Luton Town on Tuesday night.
Raya’s lapses allowed the hosts to score twice in eight minutes, taking the lead in the second half. The on-loan Brentford goalkeeper was caught out of position from a corner kick, leading to Elijah Adebayo’s equalizer, and later allowed a Ross Barkley shot to slip beneath him, putting the hosts in the lead.
However, Kai Havertz leveled the score, and Declan Rice headed in the winner in the seventh minute of added time.

Speaking to reporters about Raya’s performance, Arteta stated, “We have to defend better in those situations as a team. There are certain things leading to the goals, and it’s not about blaming; we have never done it, and we’re not going to do it now. It’s about how the team reacts to that because it’s going to happen, and I love that response.”
