Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hailed his former mentor, Pep Guardiola, as the undisputed best manager in the world “by a significant margin.”

Arteta served as Guardiola’s assistant for three years following his retirement as a player. Upon departing Manchester City, Arteta assumed the managerial role at Arsenal in December 2019.

In the previous season, Arteta and Guardiola found themselves in a tight race for the Premier League title, with Arsenal narrowly missing out in the final weeks of the campaign.

This season, Arteta’s team currently sits atop the league table as they prepare to face Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad.
