Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hailed his former mentor, Pep Guardiola, as the undisputed best manager in the world “by a significant margin.”

Arteta served as Guardiola’s assistant for three years following his retirement as a player. Upon departing Manchester City, Arteta assumed the managerial role at Arsenal in December 2019.

In the previous season, Arteta and Guardiola found themselves in a tight race for the Premier League title, with Arsenal narrowly missing out in the final weeks of the campaign.

This season, Arteta’s team currently sits atop the league table as they prepare to face Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad.

Speaking of Guardiola, the 42-year-old stated: “He is without a doubt the best manager in the world by a considerable margin. My time working with him was immensely valuable and will remain with me forever. His intelligence, team management approach, and unparalleled work ethic are truly remarkable.
