Pep Guardiola’s team is not in Wenger’s opinion the all-powerful team of recent years, and he believes this could allow their rivals to push them for the championship.

Wenger said of Arsenal’s title chances: “I would think they have a good opportunity this season because I don’t see any very dominating team.” “I think this season would be an excellent time to do that.

“Of course, it’s a bit of a special season because of the World Cup in the middle, and you never know how much that will impact how well the teams and the individuals do individually. Overall, I think this season presents a terrific chance.

With their upcoming league games against Tottenham and Liverpool at the Emirates, Arsenal’s credentials will be put to the test in the coming weeks.
