Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gently stated his thoughts toward Arsenal following his summer transfer to Chelsea. He suggested that he would quickly and quietly exit the bar.

The Gabon striker left Arsenal in January after breaking the rules and losing his captaincy. At the same time that Mikel Arteta was going through a difficult period of performance, Aubameyang was transferred to Barcelona.

The striker was only in Spain for about eight months, though. On the last day of the transfer window, Thomas Tuchel begged him to help his team score more goals, so he went back to London, this time to Chelsea.

Since September 1, Aubameyang has played in just two matches, both in the Champions League, and he has yet to score a goal for his new team. Aubameyang has also gotten a new management. Graham Potter succeeded Thomas Tuchel a week after Aubameyang’s transfer.

With his new Chelsea teammate, Wesley Fofana, Aubameyang has shared some of the most difficult times in his career. He replied, suppressing a smile, “I’ve gone through a lot of bad situations, not injuries.”

Based on what isn’t addressed, Aubameyang might be talking about his time at Arsenal coming to an end, which is not one of his better moments.

He continued, “But at the beginning of my career everyone was talking about me as a sprinter only. It hurts sometimes because you know where you’ve come from, you know you’ve been through a lot, and you always try your best, and some people, even from your club, say you’re not good at playing football.

Aubameyang has relocated to London and joined a new team that Tuchel promised would treat him well. It’s possible that he already knows Fofana.

After a protracted trade battle, the Frenchman joined this summer for £69.5 million from Leicester. Following the appearance of a well-known photo from more than ten years ago, the two were talking about their respective experiences.

At the time, Saint-Etienne player Aubameyang was 21 years old. In the picture, he is posing with a young Fofana, who would have been about 11 years old. Chelsea released a video of Fofana responding, “I remember the photo. I went to the St. Etienne training center to meet the pros, and all I wanted was a picture with you because I used to play forward with you and Drogba back when I was younger.
