Despite having already secured their spot at Euro 2024 next summer with an impressive record of dropping only two points in six games, Southgate and his team are determined to maintain an unbeaten streak, both in qualifiers and throughout the entire 2023 season. The last defeat for the Three Lions occurred in December 2022 at the World Cup, where they fell to eventual runners-up France in a 2-1 quarter-final loss.

Injury sidelines John Stones and Eddie Nketiah, while Raheem Sterling remains absent due to his current form. Callum Wilson makes a return, and despite being booed by England fans last month, midfielder Jordan Henderson from Al Ettifaq is included in the squad.
