Eden Hazard, the former Chelsea winger, has revealed his decision to retire from football following his departure from Real Madrid at the conclusion of the previous season.
Hazard, aged 32, made a high-profile move from Chelsea to Real Madrid in 2019 for a transfer fee of £89 million but was limited to just 54 league appearances for the Spanish club.
During his time at Stamford Bridge, Hazard enjoyed success, securing two Premier League championships.

Since his contract came to an end in June, Hazard has been without any club affiliation.
In his statement, Hazard expressed, “It’s crucial to heed your inner voice and recognize when it’s time to step away. After 16 years and over 700 matches played, I’ve made the decision to conclude my career as a professional footballer.”
