Isco Alarcon has now formally agreed to a two-year contract with Sevilla FC, according to a statement posted on the team’s website.

Isco will officially become a Sevillista in the upcoming days, and he’ll train with his new teammates for the first time then.

Isco, a five-time Champions League champion, may not have served Carlo Ancelotti’s needs at Santiago Bernabeu anymore, but at only 30, he is still more than capable of performing his duties for a team that hopes to regularly qualify for the Champions League.

Of course, Sevilla wasn’t the only team interested in signing him this summer; Jose Mourinho, the manager of Roma, had been eager to bring the playmaker to the Italian capital.
