Despite sustaining an ankle injury while playing for Bayern Munich, Harry Kane is expected to join the England squad for their March internationals.
Bayern Munich has confirmed that Kane has traveled to link up with the squad ahead of their friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.
Concerns arose when the 30-year-old striker suffered an ankle injury after colliding with the goalposts during Bayern’s 5-2 victory over Darmstadt on Saturday. Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel described the incident, stating that Kane “slipped and fell into the net, twisting his ankle.”

However, it appears that Kane will still be available for the England squad, much to the relief of manager Gareth Southgate.
Although Bayern released a reassuring statement, they did not specify the severity of Kane’s injury. The club stated, “The striker has still traveled to international duty with England and will be treated by the team doctors there, in close consultation with the FC Bayern medical department.”
Kane, who has scored 31 league goals so far this season, setting a new record for goals scored in a Bundesliga debut campaign, will be a crucial member of the England squad as they prepare for the upcoming Euro 2024.
Both of England’s friendly matches against Brazil and Belgium will be held at Wembley Stadium, marking Kane’s return to his homeland after joining Bayern in the summer of 2023. He has been in impressive form in the Bundesliga, tallying 37 goals in all competitions and breaking numerous records.
Following the March internationals, Kane is set to return to club action with Bayern, who are drawn against Arsenal in the Champions League. Kane has a prolific record against Arsenal, scoring 14 goals in 19 games against them in his career so far.
