Wilder originally refused to recognise the Briton’s victory after the loss, claiming he had no regard for the British heavyweight.

Wilder, on the other hand, has accepted the result and promised to return to the ring a better person.

What an incredible evening!

“I’d like to thank God first and foremost for allowing me to share with the world another side of myself that is driven by passion and desire.

I’d like to express my gratitude to my teammates and supporters for sticking by me throughout this long process.

“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t upset with the conclusion, but after meditating on my trip, I’ve come to realize that what God meant me to experience is far greater than what I imagined.

Although we did not win, a wise man once stated that the wins are contained within the lessons. I’ve come to realize that sometimes you have to lose in order to win.

“Even if I wanted to win,” says the player. Even more enjoyable was seeing the fans triumph. In this sport, I hope to have demonstrated that I am a true Warrior and a true King.

Hopefully, we demonstrated that no matter how hard life throws you curveballs, you can always pick yourself up and fight for what you believe in.

Last but not least, I’d like to congratulate @gypsyking101 on his triumph and express my gratitude for the incredible historical memories that will last a lifetime,” Wilder stated on Twitter.
