Nigerian actress, Debbie Shokoya, recently got engaged on Valentine’s Day, and she has been receiving congratulatory messages from fans and colleagues.
However, the actress whose name is Deborah Shokoya and who attended a white garment church has caused a stir on social media after she revealed her Muslim name in an Instagram post.
In the post, Debbie shared a photo of herself showing off her engagement ring, thanking God and revealing her muslim name as “Mutmainat”
She wrote, ” MUTMAINAT Thank You Lord AJIJOLA Ndupe”
The post immediately went viral, with many fans congratulating her.
A fan speculated that she might have converted to Islam after getting engaged.
The fan wrote: “Deborah ti di MUTIMAINATIYAWO OMO IMAM”
Debbie has not responded to the speculation about her religion, but many of her fans have been congratulating her on her engagement and wishing her all the best in her future endeavors.
