David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has sparked mixed reactions online after revealing that he plans to give away the money raised from his N1 million birthday challenge.
Davido gave a task to his close friends and associates on Tuesday night, November 16th, ahead of his 29th birthday on November 21st, 2021.
The Nigerian celebrity challenged his friends and anyone who had enjoyed his music to send 1 million Naira each to his account in a post on his Instagram story.

Davido raked in almost N100 million in less than 24 hours from a slew of celebrities like Mr Eazi, Nengi, Dorathy Bachor, Oba Elegushi, Cubana Chiefpries, and others.
Soso Soberekon, a prominent music executive, completed the money to N200 million on Thursday night, November 18th, 2021.
Since the challenge, Davido has been humiliated and chastised for calling out people and forcing them to give him a birthday gift.
Davido, on the other hand, indicated in a post on the microblogging platform that he might give away all of the money raised through the challenge.
He wrote: Might give it all away.
Reacting to this, some fans opined they would not be surprised if Davido decides to use the money as a giveaway, while others insist he keeps the money because it was a gift.
