In his first emotional message since his return, De Gea shared on Instagram, “What a feeling to be back, incredible but with lots of emotions and feelings. I want to thank my family, friends, and the supporters of Fiorentina for the warm reception and look forward to the upcoming season to see what we can achieve together.”

The match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi had a difficult start for Fiorentina, who found themselves two goals down in the first 12 minutes against the Hungarian side. However, the Italian team made a strong comeback to lead 3-2, only for De Gea to concede a late goal, resulting in a 3-3 draw.

Despite the disappointing result, De Gea’s emotional message reflects the significance of his return to the pitch and his excitement for the season ahead.
