Galtierย discussesย Lionelย Messi’s Injury

Lionel Messi will be able to play in PSG’s upcoming Champions League encounter against Benfica, according to earlier reports. The forward won’t play in this match, though, according to PSG’s official team list.

Galtier then responded, “Leo felt a tightness in his calf versus Benfica,” when asked about Messi’s ailment.

“We had hoped he would be able to play in tomorrow’s game, but ultimately, his participation is still restricted. Although he is much better and more assured, he still has a bad sensation, so he would rather not play tomorrow, according to Galtier.

The Argentine attacker will be assessed in the middle of the week before the match against Marseille, according to PSG’s coach. Additionally, according to Galtier, Messi will be largely prepared to play against Marseille in Ligue 1.

Lionel Messi is currently in excellent shape after having a disappointing previous season. This season, the Argentine has eight goals for PSG. He has also contributed eight assists on top of that. The newest information from Galtier will therefore cause PSG supporters to exhale with relief.

Along with PSG, the Argentina management will also feel a great sense of relief. Messi will take part in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, which begins in November.

One of the strongest teams in the competition is Argentina. Messi’s physical fitness is therefore essential for them.

The 2018 World Cup will serve as Lionel Messi’s last tournament. Argentina is currently focused on getting to the international competition in top shape.
