The contract has still to be signed, but PSG is expected to make an announcement around their season finale against Metz on Saturday evening.

PSG were willing to offer him a ยฃ150 million signing-on fee to keep him for another two seasons, according to Spanish football analyst Guillem Balague, who wrote about it last month.

Mbappe had agreed to a financial agreement with Real Madrid months ago, but he has decided not to join Carlo Ancelotti’s side.

In August 2017, he joined PSG on a season-long loan from Monaco and has since helped them win four Ligue 1 titles in five seasons.

The Qatari-owned club was keen to keep him and was willing to pay him a ยฃ21 million net annual wage.
