Actor Chiwetalu Agu has been released from the Department of State Services, thanks to the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) (DSS).
DSS apprehended Agu just hours after the Nigerian Army released him last week.
Emeka Rollas, the National President of the AGN, confirmed the news.

Rollas stated in a statement that the guild had once again obtained the actor’s release.
I was at the DSS office today with my colleague, AGN President Steve Eboh’s Senior Special Assistant on Military Affairs and Inter Governmental Relations, to receive Mr. Agu on behalf of the Guild.
The statement stated, “The happy veteran Actor praised God for bringing him through the experience and commended the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, led by Ejezie Emeka Rollas, for their tireless efforts in winning his release from jail.”
