According to a source, Edouard Mendy of CHELSEA is thinking about staying at Stamford Bridge despite losing the starting job to Kepa Arrizabalaga.
In 2020, the 30-year-old transferred from Rennes to the Blues in a deal worth £22 million.
Mendy, a goalkeeper from Senegal, assisted the team in winning its second Champions League title.

Mendy, though, has lost his No. 1 position under new manager Graham Potter since Thomas Tuchel was fired in September.
Additionally, Mendy is reportedly evaluating his future at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Mail.
Potter is reportedly interested in making a raid on Robert Sanchez’s former club Brighton because Kepa has been doing well in goal.
Due to Kepa’s foot injury, Mendy has started Chelsea’s last three games, all of which they lost.
Despite this, the goalie is still optimistic that he will be able to justify why he deserves to retake the top rank.
Mendy might have to wait until the summer to find a move because Chelsea are unlikely to approve a deal during the January transfer window.
Mendy’s contract expires in 2025 and there have been relatively little developments in the negotiations to extend it.
Mendy is currently concentrating on the World Cup, where he will start for Senegal with certainty.
