Chelsea has reportedly made a contract offer to Fulham center-back Tosin Adarabioyo as he nears the end of his current deal. Tosin, 26, is set to depart Fulham this summer after four years and has attracted significant interest from Newcastle United, who moved swiftly to avoid competition from other Premier League clubs.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Chelsea has now stepped in with a contract offer as they aim to bolster their defensive options following Thiago Silva’s departure. Tosin is yet to make a decision on his future and continues discussions with Newcastle, who are also pursuing another impending free agent, Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth.
During his tenure at Fulham, Tosin amassed 132 appearances in all competitions, including 78 in the Premier League, establishing himself as a dependable option in English football’s top tier.

Chelsea is keen on reinforcing their center-back position this summer, with Silva’s departure leaving a void. Trevoh Chalobah, who played a pivotal role in Chelsea’s late-season resurgence, could also leave the club. Sporting CP’s Ousmane Diomande is a reported target, but his €80m (£68m) release clause may prove too steep, especially considering Chelsea’s plans for a new goalkeeper and striker.
Tosin, a product of the Manchester City academy, left the club in the same summer that saw Enzo Maresca take charge of City’s Under-23 setup, coincidentally the incoming manager at Chelsea.
