Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has spoken about his familiarity with Chelsea’s transfer target

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has commented on the club’s interest in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

Sancho, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, is reportedly set to join Juventus initially, with a potential permanent transfer to Chelsea next summer.

In his pre-match press conference before Chelsea’s UEFA Conference League play-off second leg against Servette, Maresca said:

“If we need to sign a player just for the sake of signing, I’m not interested. However, if we can bring in someone who can truly contribute, then I’m on board. Jadon is not our player. I know him well from my time at City. But for now, he is not our player. We’ll see how things develop.”
