Reports suggest that Chelsea, having struggled to generate enough interest in a permanent sale, are now open to considering straightforward loan offers for striker Armando Broja. The club had rejected advances from Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers as they didn’t meet Chelsea’s demands for an obligation to buy as part of any bid for the 22-year-old.
Chelsea initially set a £50m asking price, which, in comparison to Rasmus Hojlund’s £72m move to Manchester United, deterred potential suitors, even though offers exceeding £35m might have been considered. As the January window’s Deadline Day approaches, it has been revealed that Chelsea, as reported by David Ornstein, are willing to entertain loan offers for Broja without a mandatory purchase clause. However, the club still requires a substantial fee, approximately £5m, for loaning out Broja.
While both Fulham and Wolves are interested in Broja, a permanent sale has not been definitively ruled out, and discussions are expected to persist. If satisfactory offers do not materialize, Chelsea may retain Broja until the summer, reassessing options as they prepare for the potential acquisition of a prominent striker.

Chelsea has shown interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who comes with a release clause exceeding £100m. The club aims to sell Broja to contribute funds for such a move. Broja currently ranks behind Nicolas Jackson and would potentially become the third-choice striker if a player of Osimhen’s caliber joins in the summer.
