In his New Year’s honors, King Charles of England singled out a Chelsea FC midfielder who would go on to obtain the OBE designation.

A Chelsea FC football player has been honored by the King of England for her contributions to the game and her leadership as the captain of Wales, and she will soon get the OBE designation. As a member of the women’s team for Chelsea and Wales, Sophie Ingle made a significant contribution to the game of football. The blues announced in an official post that she had been named on the King’s New Year Honors list and would be receiving the OBE designation.

Sophie recently extended her Chelsea contract by two years, keeping her at Stamford Bridge through 2024.
