The Blues are anxious to sign the France U21 international after their fellow English club reportedly rejected proposals worth between £63 million and £70 million.

Thomas Tuchel, the manager of the Blues, has reportedly identified the 21-year-old as the perfect complement to his backline and is prepared to make an offer of £85 million for him in the coming days.

Brendan Rodgers, the manager of the Foxes, stated that neither of the last two bids from the Blues came near to the club’s valuation, thus the Foxes are determined to cling onto the Frenchman.

The record amount Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire three years ago would be eclipsed if the London club pays £85 million for the 21-year-old.
