Guardiola stated:

“It’s always been like that. When we won the Treble last season, we reached the semi-finals of the Champions League and won the Premier League.

“Honestly, if we were 18 points ahead of second place in the Premier League, I would have my sights set on Madrid. But that’s not the case. We’re currently third, not too far off the top of the Premier League, but dropping points would make it nearly impossible.

“So, our primary focus is on winning the game against Palace. After that, we’ll have more time, not necessarily for rest, but to prepare.”
