Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti affirmed his contentment with the point earned from a 1-1 draw against Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday. The match saw Jude Bellingham opening the scoring early in the second half, with Aitor Ruibal securing the equalizer for Betis shortly after. Despite Madrid having more possession but fewer shots and shots on target, Ancelotti expressed satisfaction.

With Real Madrid currently holding the top spot by a point, the draw exposes them to the risk of being overtaken by Girona, provided they maintain their impressive form and secure a victory against regional rivals Barcelona on Sunday night.

Ancelotti shared his thoughts with reporters, stating, “The unfortunate event was Ruibal scoring a fantastic goal, and they leveled the game. I am content; you cannot always execute everything perfectly.” When pressed further, Ancelotti emphasized his positive outlook, saying, “I leave here satisfied; it is a valuable point for the table. Do you want me to convey sadness or anger? That’s not the case. I am happy.”

Reflecting on the overall match, Ancelotti acknowledged the quality of both sides, stating, “It was a well-played game by both teams, and the result is fair. Although we conceded the goal during a vulnerable moment, Betis did not deserve to lose; they played well, just like us.”

With only three more games before the winter break, Real Madrid aims to conclude the year positively. The upcoming fixtures include a Champions League match against Union Berlin, where Ancelotti has maintained a 100% record so far, followed by La Liga encounters against Villarreal and Alaves on December 17 and 21, respectively.
