In a press conference, as reported by GOAL, Ancelotti discussed the best players in history, stating, “Is Messi the best in history? He’s undoubtedly a fantastic player, but I can’t definitively say who the absolute best has been. There have been so many exceptional players throughout history… Maradona, Di Stéfano, Cruyff… I can’t make that judgment.”

While Messi is the frontrunner for his eighth Ballon d’Or, he faces competition from Haaland.
