Chelsea Manager Mauricio Pochettino has emphasized the need for “fairness” from referee Chris Kavanagh in their upcoming Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on Sunday.
Expressing discontent with several decisions that went against his team in their 4-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on January 31, Pochettino is seeking equitable officiating as the Carabao Cup presents his initial opportunity to claim silverware with the Blues.
In contrast, Jurgen Klopp is eyeing additional silverware before departing Anfield in the summer.

Pochettino voiced his concerns, stating, “When we played against Liverpool at Anfield, I think too many decisions … not one key decision was for us. Two penalties were not given. Duels, 50-50s, always for another colour. Always red. I want to be treated in a fair way.”
While acknowledging Liverpool’s excellence and Klopp’s coaching prowess, Pochettino expressed his desire to approach the Wembley final without feeling the pressure, aiming for a game played at a level playing field where the superior team emerges victorious.
