As of Friday, August 26, Rema and Selena Gomez’s remix of “Calm Down” is now available for streaming, so everyone can “calm down.”

Gomez’s guest appearance on Coldplay’s 2021 song “Let Somebody Go” from the British rock band’s ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres, marked her first collaboration of 2022.

The founder of Rare Beauty posted a black and white photo of herself and Rema to her Instagram Story on August 17 along with the GIF message “coming soon” after their encounter.

“Calm Down” is the title of the second single from Rema’s debut studio album, Rave & Roses. On 2022, the Nigerian Afro-fusion performer has gained popularity both live and in the charts. The main single off his debut album, “Soundgasm,” peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart. Since then, “Calm Down” has reached No. 56 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.

Rema will be making stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Toronto, and Montreal during the next few weeks as part of the more recently announced Rave & Roses World Tour.
