CAF Awards 2024: Super Eagles and Super Falcons Nominated for National Team of the Year

The Super Eagles and Super Falcons have been shortlisted for the Men’s and Women’s National Team of the Year awards at the 2024 CAF Awards.

The Super Eagles earned their nomination after reaching the final of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. They face competition from African champions, Côte d’Ivoire’s Elephants, and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana for the prestigious award.

On the women’s side, the Super Falcons secured their spot on the shortlist after representing Nigeria at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, although they exited in the group stage. Also nominated are Banyana Banyana of South Africa and Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses.
