Portable, a contentious singer from Nigeria, has called attention to the abuses of religion in that country.
The musician said that many Nigerians have been rendered illiterate by religion in a video that is now viral on social media.
He discussed how contributors from a particular church in Nigeria helped to purchase a bulletproof automobile for their pastor.

In the bulletproof automobile, the clergyman was unfortunately ambushed by unidentified shooters, but he was able to flee, and the churchgoers are now claiming that their pastor was saved by a miracle.
Portable begged them to reflect and underlined that the pastor was saved by the bulletproof automobile and that nothing miraculous occurred.

Although Portable avoided using a specific name, netizens interpreted his post as a dig at Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) General Overseer Apostle Johnson Suleman, who recently survived an assassination attempt in Auchi, Edo State.
Recall that unknown gunmen attacked the clergyman’s convoy along Warake road in Auchi on Friday, October 21.
The assailants opened fire at them and killed seven persons – four policemen, one driver and a lady. Fortunately for the clergyman, he and his family managed to escape unhurt.
