In congratulating former President Muhammadu Buhari on his 81st birthday, Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu described Buhari as a leader who maintained consistency in character throughout his public career.
According to Governor Sanwo-Olu, Buhari led Nigeria honestly and openly both during his two terms as a civilian president and as Head of State from 1983 to 1985.
In a congrats message sent on Sunday, Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, stated that Buhari is a hero to many Nigerians because of his spotless record in public service, particularly as a Military Governor, Minister of Petroleum Services, Head of State, and President.

The governor praised the outgoing president Buhari as a fearless and fervent leader whose dedication to Nigeria’s progress and advancement is commendable.
“On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I extend my felicitations to former President Muhammadu Buhari on his 81st birthday,” he stated. As a public servant and military officer, he has given up the most of his life to serve our beloved nation.
