Despite reports from Spain suggesting Fernandes as a prime target for the Saudi Pro League, with potential bids of €100m (£87.5m) imminent, the midfielder did not categorically rule out a transfer. However, he emphasized that he is not giving credence to rumors and affirmed his dedication to achieving success with both Manchester United and the Portuguese national team.
Speaking at a press conference, Fernandes stated, “Being sought after is always positive, regardless of the league or club. But my focus is on the national team and Manchester United; I am content where I am. In the national team, we are experiencing a very positive moment. While our start at Manchester United may not have been ideal, I don’t dwell on the long term.”

Fernandes expressed a disregard for market speculations, stating, “I don’t pay much attention to transfer rumors; they are things I’ve never wanted to engage with. Until a concrete offer materializes, I don’t let such rumors affect me. Rumors can easily circulate in the media. I prefer to remain focused on my objectives.”
Fernandes, who celebrated his 29th birthday in September, is currently bound by a contract at Old Trafford until 2026, placing Manchester United in a position where they are not immediately compelled to consider offers for their captain.
