Youssoufa Moukoko has reportedly been warned by Borussia Dortmund to decide on his future by the weekend or there will be a “parting of ways.”
This summer, when the 18-year-contract old’s with the German powerhouses expires, European teams like Chelsea, Barcelona, and Newcastle are on high alert.
Before Dortmund’s match against Augsburg on Sunday, Sebastian Kehl, the club’s sports director, told Germany’s Kicker magazine that the team had made a “quite tempting offer” and was waiting for a response from Moukoko.

According to reports, Youssoufa Moukoko has till Sunday to decide whether to accept a new contract offer.
“I would hope that he selects us since he hasn’t finished growing up and I think he has a lot of potential.” But there are restrictions on us as a club.
The Bundesliga changed its rulebook due to Moukoko’s great scoring record in youth divisions, allowing him to make his professional debut at 16 instead of the previous minimum age of 17.
Given that his contract expires this summer, Moukoko is one of the most in-demand players in Europe.
One day after turning 16 in November 2020, he promptly became the youngest player to ever play in the Bundesliga, and less than three weeks later, he also set a record for the Champions League.
Teams like Chelsea, Barcelona, and Newcastle are on high alert as a result of the teenager’s contract ending.
According to a report from Sky Sports Germany on Friday, there have been productive negotiations between the player and the club, and a new four-year contract is quite likely to be reached.
At the club’s current training camp in Marbella, Sky reported that negotiations between BVB and Moukoko’s agent Patrick Williams had made progress. However, some details still need to be worked out.
Although the new contract is reportedly worth over £50,000 per week in basic income – and possibly as much as £85,000 including bonuses – nothing has been inked as of yet.
Moukoko, a two-cap international, has six goals in 14 Bundesliga games this year.
Hans-Joachim Watzke, the club’s executive director, stated last week: “Of course we hope that he will continue with us.”
