There have been ongoing rumors indicating a strained relationship between Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa, and these speculations were recently validated at an event in Lagos where both women were present.
In the past, Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa were inseparable, attending events together, enjoying club outings, and enthusiastically celebrating each other’s birthdays. They stood by each other’s side, as demonstrated when Toke supported Tiwa during her clash with Seyi Shay in 2021, affirming Tiwa’s ability to emerge victorious from any altercation.
However, their once-close bond took a turn for the worse in early 2022. Allegedly, their friendship deteriorated due to their shared interest in a particular man.

The situation worsened to the extent that Toke Makinwa failed to acknowledge Tiwa Savage’s achievement of receiving an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Kent in July 2022.
The two celebrities subsequently unfollowed each other on social media, ceased spending time together, refrained from exchanging birthday wishes, and intriguingly, Toke Makinwa began showcasing a new best friend.
So, recently, the Lagos Socialite; Chief Mrs Rainot Olufunke Alaba Oniru threw an elaborate 70th birthday party in Lagos and it was star-studded.
It was an array of Dignitaries & Foremost Lagos Society Women of Class in attendance.
Both Tiwa Savage and Toke Makinwa were in attendance but they shunned each other all through and ensured to sit far away from each other. While Toke Makinwa was adorned in a yellow abaya, Tiwa rocked denim on denim and had her bodyguard around her all through the occasion.
