Benoit Badiashile, who is moving from Monaco to Chelsea, has reportedly finished his medical there, according to Nathan Gissing.
After the price for Josko Gvardiol increased following the World Cup, Chelsea immediately expressed interest in Badiashile. Badiashile is seen as a less expensive alternative but not as much of a player who is below Gvardiol’s caliber.
After receiving official confirmation that he had passed a medical, Badiashile will now be revealed by the club in the upcoming hours and will cost Chelsea €38million.
The Frenchman, who has twice played at the senior level for his nation, is seen as Thiago Silva’s long-term replacement and is set to retire in the near future.
This is the third signing Chelsea is anticipated to make this window and another indication of the investment Todd Boehly is prepared to make in the club. As of right now, Enzo Fernandez is being prepared to take his place as the fourth.
