Bayern Munich has identified Chelsea defender Levi Colwill as a key target for this summer, with initial talks already underway, according to reports.
The 21-year-old, who can play both centre-back and left-back, had a breakthrough season at Chelsea, making 32 appearances across all competitions. Previously, he impressed during loan spells at Huddersfield and Brighton, establishing himself as a valuable member of the Chelsea squad.
Colwill’s performances also earned him his first England cap, though he did not make Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad. His form has caught the attention of Bayern Munich, who are reportedly considering a summer offer for him, as per Sky Sports Germany.

Bayern Munich’s primary defensive target is Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah, but they could pursue both players as part of a planned defensive overhaul. Tah has just one year left on his contract, and if he does not renew, Leverkusen might opt to sell him this summer.
Chelsea, on the other hand, is not under immediate pressure to sell Colwill, who is contracted until 2029 after signing a long-term extension last year. While Chelsea may be reluctant to sell the young defender, the potential profit from a homegrown player could be tempting under Profit and Sustainability Rules.
