Reports from Spain indicate that Bayern Munich has initiated contact with Zinedine Zidane to explore the possibility of him assuming the managerial role next season.

According to MARCA, discussions have commenced with Zidane, who has been without a managerial position since parting ways with Real Madrid back in 2021. Despite rumors linking him to the France national team job, Zidane’s options have been limited, particularly after Didier Deschamps extended his contract with Les Bleus until 2026.
While Zidane’s interest in managing Bayern remains uncertain, the former midfielder has previously stated his preference not to work in a country where he cannot fluently communicate in the language.
Other potential candidates for the Bayern job include Jose Mourinho, Julian Nagelsmann, and Hansi Flick, all of whom boast prior experience in Bavaria.
BILD recently suggested that Nagelsmann, who was replaced by Tuchel in March 2023, is now the frontrunner for the position. Currently managing the German national team, Nagelsmann’s contract is set to expire after the upcoming European Championships, with the possibility of an extension still on the table.
